I can't seem to get any sound to work on my iPad? There’s a known issue with audio on the iPad, in general. The problem is that the switch on the side of the iPad can be used to Mute the iPad, but it can also be used to Lock the Rotation. What happens is if you put the switch on Mute, and then switch the meaning of the button to lock the rotation of the iPad your audio will always be muted. Here is how you can fix the problem…
1) Go into the iPad’s “Settings” app, and under “General”, there is a section that says “Use Side Switch to:”. Switch it back to Mute.
2) Now flip the switch on the side of the iPad until you see the bell with the dots under it and make sure the volume is turned up.
3) Now try running our app again.
How do I purchase PoseBook for my Android Device? Currently, you can purchase the app through the Amazon App Store.
Why can't I purchase the app through the Android Market? The Android Market has a maximum app size limit of 50MB, and due to PoseBook's large quantity of high resolution images and videos we are well over that limit. The Amazon App Store had no maximum app file size limit when we submitted. Recently (Mar 2012), Android upped the file size limit to 4GB but with stipulations. Once our toolset supports the new Android system we'll likely submit the app to the Android Market.
Can I purchase PoseBook for my Android device outside of the U.S.? Unfortunately, the Amazon App Store does not currently support sales in regions outside of the United States. We will update this page when/if they do update that policy. We will also update this page when we submit to the Android Market, likely later this year.
What Android devices are supported? The PoseBook apps support devices with Android OS 2.2 or higher, and devices with an ARMv7 processor or higher, as well as the Kindle Fire (currently no Nook support). Please check online to find out which processor your Android Device has before purchasing the app for your Android device. We've found the following page that displays ARMv7 Android devices in green, with ARMv6 devices in red, to be useful. Android Devices
I don't own an iDevice or Android phone, are you planning on making a copy for the PC or Mac? Currently our toolset does not support developing for these platforms. Silver is considering a physical book but no set plans at this time.
